Roll of Honour York Minster

Many women were killed in their war work.  Some of their names can be found on panels in York Minster.  Not all are shown there as the government of the day 'hushed' up numerous munitions factory explosions.

Helen Fiarchild

American nurse Helen Fairchild herself

died from gas poisoning as a result

of treating gassed soldiers.
